Somewhere in the depth of time like 2018, we had a discussion (debate? argument?) about whether poetry could or should be presented along with photography - whether one would detract from the other or would/could the sum of the two be greater? Since then we have been working together to find an answer to this and the evidence for both sides is...

Ashley King loves his wilderness
and wildlife, travel and art and his fab little family. He has lived in several countries of vastly different landscapes and cultures, and travelled widely. His camera takes him on many adventures capturing the world as he sees it. Everything is important and valuable from the smallest temporal snowflake to the vast timeless landscapes... and good dark beers - "Black Champagne"!
Ashley’s photography has been exhibited, won awards, and has been used extensively commercially in many forms.

Beth Clapton has an abiding love of science, ideas and words. Beth has had her work selected by the Hunter Writers Centre for their annual Grieve Anthology in 2020 and 2021, one of which won a prize. The International Tanka society has selected and published Beth's work in several editions of its magazine. Beth was awarded second place in the Robyn Mathison Poetry Prize in 2019 and first place in 2020. Beth was shortlisted in the Ros Spencer Poetry Prize by the West Australian Poets Society in 2021.

Thank Ewes

Those remarkable people who brought us into the world and nurtured us, who taught us how to tie shoe laces, an appreciation of art and the principles of quantum entanglement... Thank you parents!

There have been many friends along the way who have given generously of  their time and expertise. A few standouts are Murray, Kieren, Deborah, and Robyn - Thank ewe!

Then there is our wonderful families, our number one fans (no choice)...  There is only one thing worse than being a struggling temperamental 'precious' artist and that is to be the partner or a descendant of one... Sorry for holding you captive so often until you told us that what we are doing is worthy and wonderful. Sorry for taking over kitchen tables with our workshops. Sorry for trails of paper cuttings, glue sticks and running with scissors.  A huge Thank Ewe! We loves you.
